Jordan Smith started in Dubai real estate on 27 April 2022. In September 2026 he passed AED 2 billion in claimed transactions on Bayut. This month he became White & Co’s first Partner.
White & Co has been open five and a half years without one. “It was never going to be a title we handed out for time served,” says Calum White, Founder and CEO. “Jordan asked what came next, and the honest answer was that nothing existed. So we built it around what he already does: the biggest deals in the building, and the standard he sets for everyone else in it.”
It is not a management role, and Jordan did not want one. “I’m not managing anyone. I’m here to keep building this business, with Calum, the way we’ve built it so far. That’s the job.”
The route
Jordan is from Preston. His father spent fifty years at the same Volkswagen dealership. Jordan sold cars on finance over the phone, and he was good at it. “I learned to close on the phone, on finance, with the customer wanting to say no. Everything since has been easier than that.”
He arrived in Dubai with around two thousand pounds and a month in a studio his mother paid for. The first deal came two weeks in; the commission took four months to arrive. “A month after that I was out of cash. Friends at home were sending me whatever they could spare.”
Then a villa on Canal Cove, AED 9.9 million, closed in two weeks. “If that deal hadn’t closed that week, I’d have had my back against the wall, seriously. Conversations about maybe going home would have needed to be had.” An AED 16.9 million sale followed a fortnight later.
His father took longer to convince. “I rang him and said I’d done a deal. He said, when the money is in your account, ring me and tell me then. He couldn’t quite believe it. To be fair, neither could I.”
He joined White & Co in September 2023 and closed his first deal here two days in. “Meeting Calum was a breath of fresh air. He said, you do whatever you want, as long as you’re top of my board every month. It was a sense of freedom he gave me, but he also has this aura. You want to impress him, you want to work for him, you want to repay his trust in a way.”
The business
His book is Palm Jumeirah and One Palm, and nine in ten of his deals never reach a portal. “Most of what I sell, you will never see listed. That’s the job at this end of the market.”
What Partner means
Jordan advises on the largest deals in the company, whether or not they are his: the structure, the negotiation, the close. And he has a seat in how the business is built from here, working with Calum on where White & Co goes next.
Any broker in the building can come to him. “If you want to know how a deal was put together, ask me. I’ll always make the time.”
He turned down a large offer from another brokerage to stay. “This is the biggest commitment I could make, and it’s public. I’m not going anywhere.” The reason is not the package. “Calum has given me opportunity time and time again. I’ve grown within this business, and I owe it back to keep growing alongside it.”
“Jordan is the first,” says Calum. “He won’t be the last. Do the numbers, then come and talk to me.”
